D&M has been working on the “Leaf Hog” for over three years, and now are introducing it into the marketplace.

“I approached D&M a few years ago and asked John if he could develop a machine to deleaf the center of the canopy,” says Bill Sihota, Visalia Produce Sales, Selma, CA. Having 560 acres of table grapes on a open gable and a gable system, Sihota was looking for a way to get more sun exposure to his grapes to get better color. “I didn’t want to clear the canopy by cutting canes anymore,” says Sihota.
